This Washington City Was Named One Of The Best Places In America To Call Home
Washingtonians love to argue over which part of the state is the best. And while there really is no wrong answer (every bit of
our state is beautiful and you should live in the place you enjoy the most), one of our cities just made HomeSnacks’ 2019 list of Best Places to Live in America. Congratulations, Bellevue!
Yes, it was the city of Bellevue that made the list of Best Places to Live in America.
If you've always thought of this city simply as a suburb of Seattle, you may want to give it another try.
Bellevue is a very wealthy area. So it goes without saying that not every Washingtonian can afford to (or would want to) live there. The median household income here is a whopping $105,000.
That being said, statistically, wealthy areas tend to have great economies, great schools, and low crime rates.
Statistically, Bellevue is one of the safest places in Washington to live.
The city council works hard to create a sense of community. Their weekly Farmers Market is fantastic, and the Bellevue Downtown Park is amazing.
Bellevue's economy is strong, which makes sense since it's such an affluent area.
Expedia, T-Mobile, and Microsoft (in part) are all headquartered there, and there are plenty of jobs in construction, retail, healthcare, and education as well.
If you have any doubts about Bellevue's greatness, just go during the holiday season.
Between the annual Snowflake Lane Parade and the Garden d'Lights display, you'll definitely be charmed.
You may have some preconceived notions about Bellevue. But love it or hate it, it was the fastest-growing city in Washington for a number of years, so it's clearly a great place to live.
Perhaps HomeSnacks got it right.
Bellevue is a beautiful city, but it’s not for everyone. Here are some other
underrated towns in Washington you might enjoy.
