This Washington Pizza Joint Was Just Named One Of The Best In The Country
There’s no shortage of good pizza in Washington — you just have to know where to find it. And if you’re ever on Bainbridge Island, you’ll find it at That’s A Some Pizza, a little shop that just won two big awards in the 2017 Caputo Cup in New Jersey.
That's A Some Pizza is located at 488 Winslow Way E on Bainbridge Island.
It has been owned and operated by the Grant family since 1984.
The current owner, Will Grant, credits the secret ingredient for their pizza's delicious taste.
Since Day 1, they have used a 120-year-old sourdough starter from the Klondike Gold Rush to make a unique sourdough crust you won't find anywhere else.
Two pizzas on the menu won awards for That's A Some Pizza.
The gorgonzola pizza won the best non-traditional category in the Caputo Cup, while the pepperoni and onion pizza took home second place in the traditional category.
Of course, you can also build your own pizza here, and you'll have plenty of toppings to choose from.
You can also choose the take-and-bake option if you'd rather bake it at home.
It's nice to see a small family-owned pizza shop earn national attention.
Clearly, the Grant family is doing something right.
Have you ever been to That’s A Some Pizza? Perhaps it deserves a spot on our
ultimate pizza bucket list.
