But Amethyst Creamery is much more than an ice cream shop — as the name implies, you’ll find some sparkling gems sitting next to your cup of Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl.
The shop took over a former office space.
The shop has 28 ice cream flavors, and they're all fantastic.
Of the 28 flavors, at least eight are dairy-free.

The shop's owner, Doug Tallman, is a self-described rock hound who once owned a rock shop in Sun River, Oregon.
You'll find gems and minerals from all over the world, like amethyst crystals from Brazil and minerals from Morocco and India.
