A Trip To Alpine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm In Washington Makes A Great Family Outing
Decorating a Christmas tree is one of the most exciting parts of the holiday season – but if you simply go to a store or lot and pick one up, you just might be missing out on the best part of the experience. Head to a family-owned tree farm instead and pick out a perfect tree right from the source. We highly recommend visiting Alpine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm in Deming.
Alpine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm has been a part of the Deming community for decades.
Deming is located in Whatcom County, about 18 miles southeast of Lynden.
The farm has been owned and operated by the Stremler family since 1982.
Ken Stremler had always dreamed of having a Christmas tree farm, and eventually, he talked his Simon, brother Lewis, and friend Gerrit into starting one.
Coming to Alpine Meadows for the Christmas tree is now a time-honored tradition for many local families.
And if you've never been, the family would love to help you find yours.
When you venture out to find your tree, note that you'll have five different types to choose from.
They grow Douglas fir, Grand fir, Nordmann fir, Noble fir, and Fraser fir trees, all of which are reasonably priced by the foot.
Not only is the tree selection fantastic, but you can also purchase plenty of other decor here.
They sell wreaths, garland, and other decor. The barn, which is heated by a wood stove, has them on display.
While you're at the farm, you're more than welcome to warm up with some free hot chocolate or coffee.
You can also bring your own saw or borrow one of theirs.
Alpine Meadows Tree Farm is open every day but Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
There's still plenty of time to cut your own tree and make this Christmas extra magical.
Have you ever been to a
Christmas tree farm? It seems like such a fantastic holiday tradition.
