This Tiny Drive In May Just Be The Best Kept Secret In Virginia
Drive-in restaurants provide a certain nostalgia and charm that’s hard to find anywhere else. It’s not so much the idea of getting food service from your car – a convenience made even quicker by fast food drive-throughs – but rather the unique and vintage feel of the restaurant itself. In fact, there are only two drive-in restaurants left in Virginia. One is Doumar’s, home of the world’s first waffle cone, and the other is the lesser-known Wright’s Dairy Rite in Staunton.
