Today’s hike may just take the cake as the most beautiful trail in the state. Showcasing both mountain views and a waterfall, this moderately-difficult trail is one that you’ll be proud to complete. Here’s more on the White Rock Falls Loop, one of the most beautiful loop trails in Virginia.

White Rocks Falls Loop is located near Montebello, Virginia, and showcases some of the most beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountain.

To access the trail, you'll want to start at the parking lot along the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile post 18.5.
You'll then follow the White Rock Falls Trail for 0.4 miles. Then, turn left at the marker and hike for 1.7 miles along the Slacks Trail.

This mostly-level trail is beautiful, winding through hardwood forests. Hikers should note that it's a popular route among mountain bikers, so be aware.

After crossing the road, you'll see the White Rocks Falls Trail. You'll continue to hike downwards, encountering some enchanting stream crossings along the way.

At this point in the hike, you'll also encounter some beautiful views, so be sure to keep your eyes out for photo-worthy moments.
Eventually, you'll have reached the 40-foot waterfall, a gorgeous spectacle in any season. If it's hot enough outside, you may even consider wading in. The pool isn't quite deep enough for a full swim, though.
