You might say that Virginia is the scenic overlook capital of the country. In fact, it’d be quite a challenge to find a rural road without an incredible scenic overlook. Even so, we’re nowhere close to tiring of them or taking them for granted. If you’re anything like me, you’ll still make time to pull over and take in the views even after years and years of living in this fine state. Here are 10 of those scenic overlooks that are sure to take your breath away.

This jaw-dropping view can be accessed at milepost 10.4 along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

This beautiful vantage point can be accessed via Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park.

This is without a doubt one of the best views of downtown Roanoke that you'll get, taken from the viewpoint of the iconic Roanoke Star on Mill Mountain.

This gem of an overlook can be found in Shenandoah National Park on the Old Rag Mountain trail.
