There’s Something Incredible About These 16 Rivers In Virginia
Virginia is known for many things…beautiful beaches, breathtaking mountains, serene lakes, and rivers…lots and lots of rivers. With nearly 40 rivers flowing throughout the state, you don’t have to go far to find the beauty of gently flowing waters or frantically racing rapids. The following 16 pictures capture just a few of these beautiful bodies of water in almost perfect form.
1. The Potomac River as it narrows through Great Falls National Park.
10. Big Tumbling Creek may not be a "river," but the stair-step falls it creates through the Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area certainly deserve a second look.
We all have our favorite river (or “rivah”) that we like to go to for peace, serenity, or maybe just for a good time. Have we left your favorite off the list? We would love to hear about it in the comments below…better yet, send us a picture!
