Pizza may be one of the most universally loved foods, especially here in Virginia. Luckily, you don’t have to travel too far to get a good slice around here, especially if you happen to live in Arlington. It’s here you’ll find Pupatella, an amazing hole-in-the-wall restaurant with authentic Neapolitan pizza. In fact, many consider this joint to serve the best pizza in the entire state. Whether you tend to agree or not, you most certainly won’t be disappointed that you tried these pies.
Take a look:

This is the original location, although you can also find Pupatella's in Richmond at 1 N Morris St.

These special oven bricks were crafted using ash from Mt. Vesuvius. This allows for incredible heat retention, which translates into an incredibly hot oven. Most pizzas cook in just one minute.

The dough is exceptional and features only four ingredients: flour, fresh yeast, sea salt, water. The flour is also imported from Italy to ensure authenticity.

Pupatella is open from 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM every day except Monday. The next time you've got a craving for pizza, you'll know the trip to this local spot will be well worth it.
