It's not hard to imagine why residents of Virginia's second-largest city absolutely love their hometown.
Norfolk is home to Naval Station Norfolk, a huge naval base situate on the Chesapeake Bay. The city honors its waterfront heritage in many ways, including impressive museums such as Nauticus.
Yet Norfolk ranked highest on the list for reasons beyond its waterfront and expansive beaches.
Voters who participated in the poll consistently listed friendly locals, clean streets, and an impressive list of attractions and ways to tour the city.
Norfolk residents also love the mild year-round weather as well as the approachability of the people around them.
