Are you prepared to be enchanted by a natural wonder in our fair state? Niagara Falls is the pinnacle of waterfalls by which all other waterfalls are judged, though you don’t really need to hike to it. There are so many worthy waterfalls to discover, especially in the Old Dominion. Hiking to a natural wonder in Virginia will change the entire course of your day. You may even forget where you are in a moment of awe.

Stiles Falls is located at Camp Alta Mons in Shawsville. The trail to the falls, 3.2 miles round trip out and back, is considered to be moderate.

When camp is in session, in June and July, you cannot access this trail. Check the camp website before setting out.
The first leg of your hike is on a sunny gravel road - follow the signs to Stiles Falls as you make your way through the camp from the parking area.

You will reach the trailhead after .5 miles or so, and continue into the woods.

The trail follows a creek. You will cross the stream three times - part of the adventure, with the potential for wet feet.
