Waterslides are always a good idea. And you’ll find plenty of them here in Virginia — one of our favorites is located at Water Country USA. But, if you’re looking for something a little different, we have just the spot in mind. Tucked away in the woods you’ll find a treasure trove of waterfalls, one of which doubles as a natural waterslide in Virginia. It’s the warm-weather adventure that belongs at the very top of your Virginia bucket list.
White Oak Canyon Falls is a remarkable waterfall in Virginia that offers adventure for everyone.
To get there, you'll want to hike the Cedar Run Trail portion of the White Oak Canyon Trail. The entire trail is over 7 miles, but where we're headed is about a quarter that length.
Explorers should note that the trail is well-marked; however, it is considered to be strenuous. Be sure to wear proper footwear, bring plenty of water, and take the trail at a comfortable pace.
Before long, you'll have reached an incredible attraction: a natural waterslide in Virginia. The slide is slate that's been worn down over time, making for a smooth slide down into a pool of water below.
