The weather in Virginia has been anything but predictable this month. With temperatures dropping down into the teens and then rising again into the 50s, things have been a little crazy. A recent report from Weather.com suggests that things aren’t going to get any easier as temperatures are set to plummet in late winter and early spring. Here’s more on the updated winter-into-spring forecast:
Virginia, as well as the rest of the East Coast, is in for another few months of what will seem like a very long winter.
In other words, there's nothing to ward off that frigid, Arctic air from reaching the lower latitudes. Here in Virginia, it's likely that temperatures will continue to plummet throughout the end of January, February, and even the beginning of March.
This drop in temperature could also be met with increased storms, meaning a fair amount of snowfall in February and March. By April, things will have hopefully returned to their relatively mild conditions.
If you felt like this winter has already gone on long enough, you may not be so pleased about what lies ahead in the next months. One thing's for sure -- you'll want to bundle up!
