9 Things No One Tells You About Surviving A Virginia Winter
Chances are you’ve heard the news that the East Coast is gearing up for what could be the coldest New Years to date. Here in Virginia, we know a thing or two about freezing temperatures, which seemed to have arrived just in time for the holidays this year. It brings to mind all of the other remarkable blizzards, plummeting temperatures, and freezing rain that never fail to surprise us. Here are just a few of the things no one tells you about surviving a Virginia winter:

We don't throw around the term "snowpocalypse" lightly. Without much warning, a major snowstorm can hit and you won't be complaining about not seeing much snow in Virginia.
3. Groceries tend to disappear when you need them the most.
Sure, the thermometer may read 32 degrees, but it will definitely feel more like 20. And when you factor in the wind chill, you may think you've landed in the arctic.
