The One Of A Kind Festival You Won’t Find Anywhere But Virginia
Virginia’s festivals have a wonderful reputation for bringing together communities in celebration of all the things we love most about living here, be it music, food, wine, history, or anything in between. In fact, there’s one festival so unique that you’ll surely want to mark your calendar. The Flying Circus Hot Air Balloon Festival arrives in Virginia this summer, and let’s just say it’ll take your love of festivals to new heights.
The Flying Circus Hot Air Balloon Festival will take place at 5114 Ritchie Road, Bealton VA 22712.
Balloons vary in size and shape, the smaller ones accommodating two passengers and the pilot and the bigger ones accommodating a few more. All prices for rides will be negotiated with the pilot beforehand, depending on your time in the air as well as the size of the group.
Each day of the festival, there will be two launches: an early morning (7:00 - 9:00 AM) and a late afternoon (6:00 - 8:00 PM), offering flyers the best chance of mild weather.
These airplane rides are available starting at 11:00 AM. Tickets can be purchased at the nearby gift shop and all rides are given on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The admission price to the festival is $15 for adults, $7 for children, and free for kids 5 and under.
There are also discounts given to those with a Military I.D. as well as uniformed Scout Groups.
For more information on the festival events and admission prices, be sure to visit the official website. If you don’t want to wait until August to participate, there are flying shows scheduled each Sunday from May to October (without hot air balloon rides).
