Virginia’s incredible system of state parks is the best way to understand the history and natural beauty of our home. It’s hard to imagine a time when these state parks didn’t exist, yet they’ve been around for less than one hundred years. It was June 15th, 1936 when the first Virginia State Parks were introduced.
