This Waterfall Swimming Hole In Vermont Is Perfect For A Summer Day
Are you ready for a road-trip-dip? Just off Route 100, south of Warren Center in the Mad River Valley, is one of Vermont’s most unique swimming experiences. Warren Falls is a natural water park and has everything including picturesque waterfalls, natural watersides, platforms for daring jumpers and serene pools for families with small kiddos. Let’s check it out!
A view from the top of the falls.
This is the quintessential VT swimming hole.
Both waterfalls and swimming areas are available.
And just a short distance from the road!
Take your pick of pools.
There are 3 really deep pools, connected by waterfalls and rock “water slides,” as well as a long river where you can explore the many smaller pools.
A popular spot for locals and travelers alike.
Warren Falls may be crowded on a sunny weekend. Once you see it for yourself you'll know why it's so popular with the locals.
There are places to wade, relax and soak in the scenery, too.
For instance, this shallow pool was formed by a line of stones snaking across the foreground of the area, almost certainly placed by children playing in the water during the summer. It makes for a calm, safe area for little ones.
There are places for the more adventurous, too.
Jump in from rocks above and enjoy the refreshing plunge. A word of advice: Watch locals go first so you know where it's safe to jump in.
Bring your camera.
This is a spot you'll want to share with your friends and family.
It's fairly easy to navigate the rocks and climb around.
This spot is perfect for adventure seekers and families. There's something for everyone!
Whether you swim or simply admire the views...
Channel your inner explorer - the Warren Falls are waiting!
