Vermont is full of both locals and travelers who absolutely love mountain biking. What’s not to love? It connects you with nature, gives you a great workout, takes you to some incredible places and you meet some pretty awesome folks. Lucky for us, the Green Mountain State has some of the best mountain biking on the east coast. We’ve found some trailside inns in VT where you can stay and take advantage of some epic trails just outside your door. After all, if you’re looking to get on two wheels, why get in the car to take you there when you can just wake up and go?
1. Grafton Inn, Grafton

This four-season resort at Mt. Snow is perfectly situated for a day of adventures. They have rentals, lessons, and more which makes this a great spot for riders of all levels.

6. Woodstock Inn & Resort, Woodstock
The Woodstock Inn & Resort is an ideal spot to see the picture-perfect town of Woodstock.
The onsite Mt. Peg Trail System is a wonderful place to catch some speed, but there are plenty of trails to hike around the area, too.
7. Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe
The hills are alive with the sound of adventure at the Trapp Family Lodge.
With 2,500 acres on the property, there is a lot to explore. This includes 8 total miles of awesome mountain bike trails right on the property.
8. Holiday Inn Club Vacations Mount Ascutney Resort, Brownsville

There are 30 miles of mapped and marked MTB trails here and you'll love them. It's also a great spot for hiking, trail running, and winter backcountry exploring.
