The Old Stagecoach Inn in Waterbury is a gorgeous inn with a spooky twist. This place is nearly two centuries old and the site of some creepy happenings. .

The inn was first erected in 1826. It’s been through many changes over the years, but has retained its gorgeous period architecture and quaint feel.

Obviously, 200 years is more than enough time for some ghostly vibes to accumulate. The inn claims to be home to one ghost that occasionally plays practical jokes on the guests and staff.

The innkeepers and employees have found newly made beds stripped once again, items moving by themselves, and rocking chairs rocking without occupants.

On one occasion, the innkeeper, Mr. Barwick, found that three guests had been checked into the inn at 2:30 a.m. When he asked who let them in, they responded that an elderly woman in a long dress had shown the latecomers to their room.

There was no such employee on staff, nor did the description fit any of the guests. The innkeeper remains a skeptic, but has admitted to being unsettled.
