It’s undeniable, Vermont State Parks are incredible, and Smuggler’s Notch State Park in Stowe is no exception. Whether you follow trail maps or you stumble upon them, you can find amazing caves, trails, cliffs and even waterfalls. If you know where to look, there is a gem here that you won’t want to miss: Bingham Falls. This spring fed swimming hole in VT is a magnificent waterfall with the added bonus of being able to swim there. Let’s dive into Bingham Falls!

Finding the trail head can be a bit tricky if you've never been there before. As you drive up the Mountain Road (Route 108) in Stowe, look for a small pull off area just after you pass the Toll Road. The marker isn't visible from the road so the pull off will have to serve as a landmark.
The hike to the falls is short but can get steep, especially at the end.

If you're hiking with small children please take extra care as the rocks can sometimes get slippery.

But when you get there you'll quickly see that it's worth the hunt.

Bingham Falls is not only beautiful, but it's a great place to cool down on a hot day.

The falls and pools include a 40 foot cascading waterfall and deep gorges to swim in.
