Moss Glen Falls is a well-known waterfall that deserves every bit of its renown. In fact, you might even want to call it Vermont’s very own Niagara Falls. Here’s how to visit this awesome spot.

Moss Glen Falls is located in the Putnam State Forest in Stowe.

It’s easy to see why this waterfall is among the most beloved in the entire state. It’s downright gorgeous.

These falls share a name with another beautiful waterfall in Granville.

However, Moss Glen Falls in Stowe towers above most waterfalls in the state. It’s a staggering 125-feet tall.

One of the best parts of this magnificent cascade is that it’s pretty easy to reach.

Getting to the waterfall requires only 2.1 miles of hiking through easy terrain, so older kids and leashed dogs should be able to handle the journey.

The water can get pretty chilly, even in the summer, so it’s the perfect place to refresh yourself on a hot day.

If you intend to explore the area right around the falls, be sure to wear shoes with adequate grip. The rocks can get slippery!
