Rolling green pastures, old wooden barns, and stunning views of the blue Adirondack mountains welcome visitors to Shelburne Farms. The farm is a nonprofit organization that strives to educate and implement sustainable farming techniques that inspire others to cultivate a sustainable future for our communities. The farm is open to the general public from mid-May to mid-October and includes walking tours, a children’s farmyard, a bread bakery, and cheesemaking. The farm also serves as an inn and offers many events throughout the year for kids and adults.

Shelburne Farms, a National Historic Landmark, is a 1,400-acre operating farm and forest located in Shelburne, Vermont.

The grounds are the highlight of this spectacular farm, with tree tunnels and grazing pastures.

The history of Shelburne Farms dates back to the Abanaki, an indigenous people, who were settled in these lands. Since 1972 Shelburne Farms has been open to the public as a way to share and grow the agricultural community.

Enjoy a walking tour through the grounds to learn about the history of the farm and to see some breathtaking views of the estate at Shelburne Farms.
