Visiting This One Place In Vermont Is Like Experiencing A Dream

The Green River Reservoir in Hyde Park is located within the 5,110-acre Green River Reservoir State Park. One of our favorite parts about this scenic and fascinating area is its untamed and wild natural beauty. There are 28 remote campsites at various locations around the reservoir and the campsites can only be reached by boat. The reservoir is designated as a quiet lake under Vermont’s Use of Public Waters Rules, and boats powered by electric motors up to 5 mph and human-powered watercraft such as canoes and kayaks are allowed. You’ll never find it too crowded as use is allowed on the reservoir in limited numbers, and parking is is available on a first come, first serve basis. Enjoy!
