The winter season is fast approaching in Vermont, which means it’s time to take a look at the predictions for this year’s winter in New England. By way of the Farmers’ Almanac, we can be a bit more equipped to face whatever weather comes our way this winter. Let’s take a look and see what their predictions are for winter 2020. The annual American periodical of Farmers' Almanac has been in circulation for over 200 years, forecasting weather predictions of the U.S. and Canada.
According to the Farmers' Almanac, this winter in New England is expected to see a cold and snowy winter, with the long-range forecast predicting a cold winter. In the upcoming season, Vermont will see normal to below-normal temperatures.
Although these predictions are not always correct, they claim to be correct with their predictions around 80 percent of the time. Even with the variability, these predictions are still fun to look at, and who knows, maybe this year they'll be right. It can't hurt to prepare for the worst.
