These Might Just Be The 7 Most Enchanting Downtowns In Vermont During The Fall
It’s easy to only focus on the nature spots in Vermont and forget about Vermont’s charming small towns and quaint downtowns. But Vermont has plenty of marvelous little towns all throughout the state. From Grafton to Montpelier, here’s our list of the most enchanting downtowns in Vermont. All these places are wonderful in the fall and winter as well!

From charming streets with shops and restaurants to the beautiful and affluent neighborhoods, Woodstock tops our list for good reason. There is also a spectacular covered bridge right in downtown Woodstock.

The famous winter resort town of Stowe has a small and intimate downtown with several great restaurants and the famous Shaw's General Store that's pictured here.

Church Street, Burlington's pedestrian-only downtown street, is one of the most charming areas in Vermont. Shops, restaurants, and cafes line the street, while street performers showcase their talents in summer and fall. Festivals and other special events routinely take place here.

Our state capital showcases old brick buildings, inviting cafes and lunch spots, and the beautiful capital building. You can also find some unusual and unique shops and restaurants in Montpelier that you can't find in other places.

The picturesque and small but lovely Grafton displays everything that makes small towns in Vermont so special. You'll find friendly people, beautiful townhomes, and little shops, as well as stunning nature in the surrounding area.

The colorful downtown of Bristol, with old-fashioned storefronts, offers visitors a quaint downtown that stands still in time.
