Vermont is home to a few amazing museums, but this one is particularly unique for the size of many of its items on display. The Dollhouse and Toy Museum features an impressive collection of miniature houses and antique toys and is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Bennington, Vermont.

The Dollhouse and Toy Museum of Vermont is located at 212 Union Street, at the corner of Union and Valentine streets, in a small Victorian Era cottage that dates back to the 1850s.

The owner of the museum, Jacqueline Marro, opened the museum in 2012 to showcase original dollhouse and toy collections as well as collections brought in from local artists and crafters.
Each room has a theme whether it's a certain type of collection of dollhouses or a room dedicated to a specific group of toys.

Lots of the older toys have been collected over the years and all share an interesting story.

One of the collections, in particular, features the toys of the owner's father, which date back to the early 1900s.

The artist, Helen Greene, created all of the miniature homes out of gourds that she grows and natural wood bases discovered by her husband on their farmland.

The miniature museum consists of many small galleries featuring copies of works by Van Gogh, Manet, Picasso, Vermeer, John Singer Sargent, Edward Hopper, and Andy Warhol, as well as original art.
