Just take a look at this spectacularly colorful sunset taken recently on the Colchester Causeway.

The bike trail is along the shore of Champlain and there are gorgeous lake views for much of it - and the end is a narrow causeway that is out of this world.

And everyone uses it, so it may get busy on a summer weekend. Plan accordingly!

There are lots of places to stop and enjoy the views.

With water on either side, it's hard to make the entire 3 miles without stopping to take in the beauty of Lake Champlain.

After all, it wouldn't be Vermont without the mountains!

There is so much to see and enjoy along the route.

You'll love this path any time of the year.

A mostly flat ride, the 3 mile journey is a very manageable distance if you wan to go "all the way."

Back in 1859, there used to be a railroad bridge here. Currently, the gap's a good 200 feet in Colchester with a seasonal bike ferry.

You'll want to come back again and again.
