Perched on the shores of Spectacle Pond in the Northeast Kingdom, Brighton State Park is a spectacularly clear and clean lake. Hidden by surrounding forests and hills, the lake is a private and secluded body of water that will make you feel like you've escaped from the outside world.

Emerald Lake State Park is a quaint and pristine small lake in southern Vermont located in the town of East Dorset. This remote beach is perfect for those who are looking for a serene and delightful little summer getaway.

Located roughly 10 miles south of the Canadian border in the Champlain Islands, Alburgh Dunes State Park has a large and relatively isolated sandy beach. From the beach, you'll have expansive views of the the Green Mountains and the wide open Lake Champlain.

The 219-acre Lake Elmore, part of Elmore State Park, offers visitors a remote and picturesque setting to relax, swim, hike and explore. The park has beautiful landscapes and areas to wander and discover.

Lake Bomoseen is the largest lake that is completely in Vermont, but the lake and park still have plenty of peaceful and hidden areas to explore. Located in Castleton, the park has great amenities for camping and hiking, along with countless areas to explore and hang out.

Perhaps the most hidden of any of the beaches and parks on this list, Woodford State Park dazzles with its charm and isolation. Woodford State Park also has the highest elevation campground in Vermont at 2,400 feet. You'll find plenty of hidden little beaches on the surrounding lakes and ponds in the area.

Crystal Lake State Park deserves its name. This freshwater lake has clear and refreshing water where you can cool off from the summer heat. From the beach, you'll have stunning views of the surrounding mountains that sit snuggled up along the sides of the lake.
