Aren’t road trips the best? On the best journeys, you can explore hidden gems, go on adventures, and create incredible memories. However, sometimes you are ready for the trip to end and the best sight in the world is the “Welcome to Utah” sign in the distance. This sign means you are home (or that you are entering the best state to begin your adventure!).
As you are driving into Utah, it isn’t uncommon to miss these welcome signs as you pass by. However, they are so much more than a sign highlighting a state line.
They are also welcoming you to the most beautiful, adventurous, majestic, stunning, (and so many other adjectives!), state in the country.
No matter which direction you are entering into the Beehive State, continue on and you’ll be met with pure beauty and unforgettable attractions. For example, if entering from the north, you’ll be driving through the desert with sagebrush surrounding you.
But as you continue on, you’ll be met with remarkable views of the Wellsville Mountains and farmland, and not too far into the state, you’ll come to beautiful cities of all shapes and sizes.

When entering from the east, there are many different roads into the Beehive State, but one of the most popular is I-70. Here you’ll be entering an outdoor lover’s paradise with the red rocks, natural arches, and powerful rivers all around.
Are you entering from the south? Southern Utah’s beauty is going to impress you. Despite being a desert, the landscapes in southern Utah are impressive. You’ll find yourself quickly falling in love with Utah all over again — or even for the first time!
When coming into Utah from the west, there are not many roads you can take and you may not be impressed at first glance – there really isn’t much to see or do. However, if this is your first time entering the Beehive State, don’t turn around!
Keep driving and you’ll either come to the Salt Flats and the state’s capital city or you’ll travel toward many small towns in central Utah where life moves at a slower pace and there’s natural beauty everywhere you look.
No matter where you enter Utah, this state is one that you will want to explore, enjoy, and admire. From unique attractions, incredible natural features, beautiful scenic drives, and more, be prepared to fall in love with this incredible state — it’s so easy to do!
