Veyo, Utah is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and the tiny town has fewer than 500 residents. But people drive for hundreds of miles to visit Veyo Pies. Why? Take a look and find out!
Veyo Pies is located at 24 S. Main Street in Veyo. When you see the huge sign on the side of the road, you've arrived!
This little pie shop has been in business for over 30 years. And seriously, how adorable is the exterior? This is no hole-in-the-wall, that's for sure!
This place is so good that people all over the country visit. A map inside has pins all over it - showing how far customers come from to visit Veyo Pies. This tiny shop sells over 400 pies every week - almost one pie for every person in the entire town. Every. Single. Week.
So clearly, you need some of this pie! But, you'll quickly see that you have a problem once you get a look at the menu (and the fresh pies in the case). How will you ever decide which kind of pie to take home?
With so many kinds of pie to choose from, the only way to decide is to pick more than one. These pies are all made fresh in the store daily, and they're made by hand - no pie presses and no shortcuts.
The Veyo Volcano pies is one of the most popular specialty pies here. It starts with a graham cracker crust, then is layered with cream cheese, butterscotch and chocolate, and topped with whipped cream.
Feeling like you can't wait until you get home to tear into some pie? No worries - order a slice of your favorite kind and eat it right there. Or, order two slices. We won't tell.
As Thanksgiving approaches, Veyo Pies prepares huge stacks of boxes. If you want to order pies for the holiday, you''ll need to place your order between November 1st and 15th. For orders anytime, call Veyo Pies at 435-574-2132.
Veyo Pies is open seven days a week. Visit Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM; Sunday Noon to 5 PM.
