If you've ever been to the Holi Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork, then you've visited the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. The llama farm is located on the temple's grounds.
About 30 llamas live here, and you're going to want to meet them during an hour-long tour.
Llamas originally hail from South America, and they're highly intelligent animals who are very social.
They also make great pack animals, and can carry as much as 30 percent of their body weight on their backs.
If you'd like to hike with a llama or two, contact Utah Valley Llamas to rent some! They also have trailers available so you can transport the llamas right to the trail. Rent a llama for as little as a day, or keep him for up to a month!
When you take the tour, you'll meet the llamas in person. Feed them, brush them, and pet them to your heart's content - these furry creatures are sweet, curious, and great hosts.
Llama tours cost $20 for a group, plus $5 per person. Large groups can make special arrangements.
If you don't want a guided tour, you're welcome to bring some carrots or apples to feed the llamas without a guide.
After you've met some llamas, explore the rest of the property. You'll find a beautiful pond filled with koi...
...a few friendly parrots...
...and even some sacred zebu cows. This place is the most beautiful petting zoo in the Beehive state!
Stop by between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., and you can enjoy a delicious, vegetarian meal. Govinda's Buffet includes vegetable curries, Bhasmati rice, papadams, dahl, fresh fruit, and more.
