The One Place In Utah That Looks Like Something From Middle Earth
When Tolkien created his Middle-earth, he was imagining Old-World Europe, and I’m sure that Utah – especially Southern Utah – was far from his mind. Who would ever think that our hot, arid climate could possibly look like a scene from Lord of the Rings? With its stunning cliffs, lush, deep valleys and even waterfalls, we have to say that we think Zion National Park sure looks a lot like Middle-earth.
Come along with us, on this great journey:
“Home is behind, the world ahead,
and there are many paths to tread
through shadows to the edge of night,
until the stars are all alight.” – J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
“I'm going on an adventure” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
