There’s No House in the World Like This One in Utah
This home in Woodland Utah is the brainchild of Jonathan “Earl” Stein. He approached architect Hank Lewis (Gigaplex Architects) to make it happen and the results are amazing. The home is called “Montesilo” — a twist on the name of Thomas Jefferson’s “Monticello.” Check out this tour!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
Learn more about Earl and check out some additional photos on his blog (look at his posts from 2005 and 2006 to see the building process). I think this house is pretty cool. Would YOU live in a silo house?
