12 Under The Radar Restaurants In Utah That Are Scrumdiddlyumptious
Ok, “Scrumdiddlyumptious” isn’t really a word. Roald Dahl totally made it up. But we wanted a great word that somehow honored the deliciousness of the food at these little restaurants on this list. You see, some of the best restaurants in Utah are most under-appreciated. They’re located in ugly buildings, or small little towns, or are just generally not well-known. That’s about to change.
1. Ogie's Cafe, West Valley City
If you don't know that Ogie's is there, you'll totally miss it - it's located in an old strip mall on Redwood Road. Now that you know the secret, you've got to stop by here for breakfast! 3515 S. Redwood Road, West Valley City.
2. Milt's Stage Stop, Cedar City
Milt's is only under the radar if you've never been to Cedar City - everyone who's ever been here is well aware that this place serves the best steaks for miles. 3560 E. Hwy. 14, Cedar City.
3. Whiptail Grill, Springdale
The next time you're down by Zion National Park, you've got to stop in at Whiptail Grill for a Whiptail burrito. Or the carne asada tacos. Or the chipotle chicken enchiladas. You get the idea. 445 Zion Park Blvd., Springdale.
4. Sill's Cafe, Layton
Ok, everything at Sill's is good. But the thing is, you have to start with the scone and honey butter. Otherwise you might not leave room for it, and that would be a tragedy. 335 E. Gentile Street, Layton.
5. Escobar's Mexican Restaurant, Kanab
Escobar's serves up some of the best burritos in Southern Utah. Don't miss it! 373 E. 300th S., Kanab.
6. Coachmans Dinner & Pancake House, Salt Lake City
The sign says, "Come in, You will be pleasantly surprised." It's true. Seriously. Go for breakfast, come back for lunch. 1301 S. State Street, Salt Lake City.
7. The Badger DEN, Bicknell
When was the last time you said, "Hey, let's go to Bicknell and get some pizza!" Yeah, we didn't think so. Which is too bad, because The Badger DEN serves one of the best pies in the state. 125 N. SR 24, Bicknell.
8. Ray's Tavern, Green River
Ray's is a popular spot to stop when you're in the Green River area, but you might consider driving there just to dine! The burgers are sooo good, but the steaks are unbelievable. 25 S. Broadway, Green River.
9. Roylies, Plain City
Tasty, home-cooked meals. Save room for a treat from the bakery. 2414 N. 4350 W., Plain City.
10. Milt's Stop & Eat, Moab
Milt's is the place to go for burgers and fries in Moab. 356 Millcreek Drive, Moab.
11. Sharon's Cafe, Holladay
You might drive past this little spot all the time, but that would be a mistake. Stop in for breakfast - the ham steak is bigger than the plate. 2263 Murray Holladay Road, Salt Lake City.
12. The Rusted Spoon, Perry
The Rusted Spoon has tasty breakfast offerings, and some really great sandwiches and burgers. 2645 S. Highway 89, Perry.
