It is easy to create a long bucket list when you live (or even travel!) to Utah. There are so many bucket-list-worthy destinations to visit, from national parks to restaurants. While you can always explore the backcountry to find hidden gems and bucket-list-worthy locations, there are many towns scattered around the state where some of the best attractions are found. Here are just seven towns in Utah where you can find at least one bucket-list-worthy destination.
700 Homestead Dr, Midway, UT 84049, USA
For a swimming experience unlike any other, head to the small town of Midway and visit the Homestead Resort. Here, you can not only spend the night, eat delicious food, and swim in one of the multiple swimming pools, but you’ll also want to swim in The Crater. This is a geothermal spring inside a 55-foot-tall dome rock where you can soak, snorkel, scuba dive, and swim.

You can unleash your inner Olympian at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City. This incredible attraction was built for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games. Take a tour of the venue, which includes a ride to the top of the world’s highest Nordic ski jumps. You can also soar down the sliding track in a bobsled for an unforgettable and heart-racing adventure.

The Shri Shri Radha Krishna Temple is located on the southern end of Spanish Fork and stands out with its remarkable architecture. While you'll certainly want to walk around the temple and the grounds, there are daily temple tours, an animal park, and a buffet for you to enjoy as well. This is also the location of the Festival of Colors, an annual festival that also deserves to be on your bucket list.

Mystic Hot Springs is one of the most well-known natural hot springs in Utah and it is absolutely beautiful. Pure mineral water flows into pools and vintage bathtubs, and the water ranges between 99 degrees to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Soaking passes are required, and you can learn more.

There is one eating challenge that needs to be on your bucket list — the kitchen sink ice cream challenge at Angie’s in Logan. Here, you will be presented with a three-pound ice cream sundae. The sundae is covered in chocolate syrup, whipped cream, bananas, nuts, and cherries. It’s definitely one of our favorite food challenges in Utah.

There is no better way to enjoy Utah landscapes than on a scenic train ride. The Heber Valley Railroad offers a variety of scenic train rides, allowing you to see Utah in a new and unique way. There are also multiple specialty nights throughout the year and you won’t want to miss a single one. Most of the scenic train rides will depart from the Heber Valley Railroad Depot unless specified on the trip itinerary.

If you live in Utah, a visit to Temple Square should be on your bucket list. Temple Square consists of five city blocks of buildings that are built and designed for worship and history for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is also home to the well-known and beautiful Salt Lake City Temple. Just be aware that certain areas of Temple Square are closed for several years to complete seismic improvements and other renovations.
