Depending on the year, you might find plenty of snow here, and typical temperatures fall below zero at night.

The trail is fairly flat and paved, so it's pretty easy hiking. It's just .4 miles, and most visitors can hike it roundtrip in around an hour (allow longer if there's snow or ice on the trail).

To reach the trailhead, drive to the 7th Zion Canyon Shuttle Stop. The shuttle doesn't operate during the winter months, so you can drive right to the stop and park in the parking lot.
This short trail has all the iconic Zion scenery you expect at this park. The stunning red rock cliffs tower over the trail, providing a spectacular backdrop against the sky.

This trail can get really slick with ice during the winter. Obey any posted signs, and consider bringing along a pair of traction cleats to slip over your hiking boots.

The water comes from groundwater above, which has seeped through the sandstone until it reaches this thick rock and is forced to the surface, creating a weeping effect. In freezing temperatures, cascading icicles cover the wall.
