3. Consumers, Utah, 1936. Sometimes referred to as the “dumping grounds of the west,” Consumers was once an old coal-mining town near Price. Today, it is now a ghost town in the Gordon Valley in Carbon County.
5. Here you will see Main Street of Corinne, Utah, in 1940. This small northern Utah town was once the shipping center of the railroad. Today, it is a small farming community.
8. Widtsoe is located approximately 16 miles northeast of Bryce Canyon National Park in Garfield County. This image shows a few of the homes in 1936. Today, Widtsoe is a ghost town with only a few structures and a cemetery remaining.
9. Relief Society House, Santa Clara, Utah, 1940. This building was completed in 1908 and was used by the local Relief Society organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The building is still standing today.
