To get there, drive about 14 miles up the canyon to the Silver Lake Visitor's Center parking lot. The trail is located right behind the Visitor's Center.

This hike is perfect for kids, who will love the wide, level trail.
The trail makes a .9-mile loop around the lake, so you'll be able to complete it in just about a half hour. Plan on being here a lot longer than that, though - it's so pretty up here that you'll want to bring a picnic!
