The Utah Restaurant In The Middle Of Nowhere That’s So Worth The Journey
If you’re looking for somewhere special to dine, and you’re willing to undergo a bit of a journey, J&G Grill at St. Regis Deer Valley is so worth it.
Your journey starts at Parleys Canyon, where you'll travel 26 miles from the mouth of the canyon in Salt Lake up to Deer Valley.
J&G Grill is the main restaurant at the St. Regis Deer Valley.
To get there, park at the resort lot below, then take the funicular up the steep slope to the restaurant.
Here's the entrance below.
The Swiss-made funicular cars are heated and air-conditioned. As you ascend in your funicular car, you'll enjoy stunning views of the valley below.
The St. Regis is perched on the side of the mountain at 7,452 feet.
The main dining room is cozy and warm, with large windows so you can appreciate the scenery while you enjoy your meal.
J&G Grill offers four private dining rooms. This the Chef's Table.
The Communal Table seats 26 guests.
Check out the restaurant's large selection of wine in the Wine Vault, where you can reserve private table dining or bar seating.
Dine on the patio for the perfect Sunday brunch.
The food is excellent, too! Start with a Caesar salad...
...Try the slow cooked wild Alaskan king salmon...
...And leave room for the salted caramel sundae!
J&G's Bloody Marys are legendary. The 7452 Bloody Mary is prepared with wasabi and celery espuma, cayenne pepper and black lava salt.
It's gorgeous up here in the summer.
In the autumn, the foliage is spectacular, and the air is crisp and clean.
And of course, in the winter, this resort really comes to life.
J&G Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended. Visit the
restaurant’s website for more information and to reserve your table online.
