This One Destination Has The Absolute Bluest Water In Utah
Utah’s Bear Lake is known as the “Caribbean of the Rockies,” and we recently wrote about that gorgeous, azure water here. While Bear Lake is undeniably gorgeous, it’s not the only place in the state with stunning, jewel-toned waters. Check out Lake Powell!
The waters of Lake Powell can look deep blue, or emerald green, depending on the location.
The lake holds 26,215,000 acre feet of water when it's full. It hasn't been full for awhile, however. This photo shows the previous water line.
According to the Bureau of Reclamation, in some places, the water is so clear that it reflects the sky. On a sunny day, Lake Powell is a gorgeous deep blue color!
