The Homestead Resort got its start back in 1866, when Simon Schneitter discovered a warm mineral spring on his property. Neighbors enjoyed swimming in the warm waters, and before long word got out and people came from farther afield to visit.

Today, the resort offers lodging, dining, a championship golf course, beautiful grounds, two swimming pools, and of course, the Homestead Crater.
If you've never visited the Homestead Crater, you've got to give it a try! The geothermal spring is hidden away in a 55-foot-tall dome created by thousands of years of limestone deposits. The water is a warm 90-96 degrees.

Visit the crater for swimming, soaking, scuba diving, or snorkeling. It's open Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For a sunnier splash, head to the resort's outdoor pool. You'll also find two hot tubs near this pool, both of which are heated by the mineral waters of the crater. Another indoor pool is also available year-round.

Homestead Resort's 18-hole golf course is legendary. It's a par 72 course that also offers a putting green, driving range, and chipping green with sand trap. Rent clubs, or bring your own!

After a long day of swimming, golfing, or exploring the nearby attractions, you'll want to head to Fanny's Grill. Its pretty patio looks out over the golf course, and the restaurant offers an array of tasty breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees.

Visit Homestead Resort for the day, or stay all night long. The resort has 126 rooms to choose from, spread out over several different buildings on the property.

Choose from garden rooms, cottage rooms, or family bunk rooms - all are beautifully-appointed and comfortable. Condos with two or three bedrooms provide lodging for larger groups or families.
