Utah’s winters can be pretty cold, and the inversion can mean grey, sunless days in the Salt Lake and Utah valleys. Utahns certainly aren’t afraid of a little cold weather, though! Bundle up, hop in the car and head into the mountains, where the sky is blue, the air is clean and Gorgoza Park is full of snowy fun.
Gorgoza Park just opened for the season! It's located just south of Jeremy Ranch. Take exit #141 off I-80, then drive to the park at 3863 West Kilby Road.
Fort Frosty is a special area for the littlest snow bunnies. You have to be between the ages of 1-6 to play on the Frosty Carousel, and you should be accompanied by your parent.
The park is open Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Starting December 17th through January 2nd, the park opens at 10:00 a.m. every morning for special holiday hours. For more information, visit Gorgoza Park’s website.
