When you want to truly immerse yourself in Utah’s natural beauty, camping overnight is the way to go. Utah has thousands of campsites to choose from, and most are surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Here’s one little campground that’s so pretty we think it deserves a closer look.
The Fruita Campground is nestled in a little valley next to the Fremont River.
The orchards contain over 3,000 fruit trees bearing plums, peaches, apples, pears, apricots and cherries. When the fruit is ready to harvest (from June through October), you can walk through and eat as much as you'd like! For a small fee, you can take fruit home with you.
These campsites are first come, first served, and they fill up fast. Get there early for the best spot - check out time for the previous night's campers is 11:00 am. Campsites are just $20 per night ($10 for seniors).
