The zoo is home to two African elephants, Christie and her daughter Zuri. These beauties live in the Elephant Encounter exhibit, which features a large swimming channel and plenty of interactive objects to keep them busy.
Two white rhinos, a male and a female, also live in the Elephant Encounter exhibit. This species is the third largest land mammal in the world, and can reach up to 8,000 pounds!
Stop by the Guest Services window to purchase your ticket for an elephant or rhinoceros Wildlife Connections experience. It's just $20, and you'll have the opportunity to interact with a zookeeper and animal up close.
...or pop something tasty into the mouth of a rhino, using a special feeding stick. The zookeepers here are experts, and know everything about the animals in their care. They'll tell you fun stories about the animal you're meeting, and show you some its special characteristics and personality quirks.
