Utah is famous for its ski resorts, and for good reason. Our snow is amazing, and the scenery from the lift is spectacular. Of course, even Utah’s most incredible winter pastime has its drawbacks; most resorts have long lines, and ticket prices have steadily increased, which can put a real dent in your wallet. Luckily, there’s a little resort that’s Utah’s newest, best-kept secret.
Cherry Peak Resort opened for the 2015/16 ski season, and has been growing ever since. It's located in Utah's Bear Mountains, just 3.5 miles from Richmond, and about 17 miles north of Logan.
Adults ski for just $40 on Thursdays ($45 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Kids ages 6-12, seniors 65+ and military ski for $30 on Thursdays ($35 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Students ski for $34 every day.
Save money all week long on a half-day pass, which is just $33 for adults, and $26 for kids, seniors, military and students.
Kids five and under ski FREE with the purchase of an adult pass!
Still working on that pizza pie wedge? Cherry Peak has a ski school with great instructors to help you improve your skiing or boarding skills.
Night skiing is offered Monday through Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Passes are just $20 for adults, $15 for kids, seniors and military, and $17 for students.
The resort also has a tubing hill, and you're not going to want to miss it.
Take the moving sidewalk, called Little Bit, up the hill, then speed down on your tube. Repeat, then repeat again! Tubing is offered Monday through Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM; Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM. The cost is $11 for one person; $20 for two people, $35 for four people, and $5 for each additional person. Ticket prices include the tube rental.
