The Utah Restaurant Hiding In Plain Sight That Serves The Best Italian Food Ever
Some of Utah’s best restaurants are hidden secrets that people in the neighborhood know about, but others don’t. Here’s one such restaurant – “hidden” right on 3300 South in Millcreek!
Antica Sicilia is a fairly new restaurant, and it's hidden right in plain view at 2020 E. 3300 S. in Millcreek.
The building once housed Millcreek Grill, but with a whole new remodel, it became Antica Sicilia in March, 2017.
The patio was transformed from a casual burger garden to an intimate space. You'll never believe that you're just several feet from the busy traffic of 3300 S.
The dining room is warm and intimate, a nice blend of rustic beams and more formal white tablecloths.
The staff here is welcoming and friendly. Antica Sicilia is family owned, and employees who aren't directly related are considered part of the family, anyway. The service is stellar here.
The breads are all baked here daily.
If you're dining with friends, start with the Tagliere dello Chef, a selection of Italian meats and cheeses, along with some other goodies.
The Bruchetta Mista is another good choice, with an array of toppings.
But let's talk about the food. The Spaghetti Carbonara is finished tableside and you've probably never eaten anything as creamy and delicious as this.
You'll find eight pizzas on the menu, and they're all unique and interesting. The crust is divine, and the cheese is fresh and delicious.
The Filet Mignon ai Fungi is cooked to perfection, covered in an incredible porcini and portabello sauce and served right on its grill.
There's one important rule when eating at a good Italian restaurant: Never leave without dessert. The tiramisu here is divine...
...and the cannoli is amazing, too.
Antica Sicilia is open Monday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM for lunch, then again from 5 PM to 9 PM (9:30 PM on Friday and Saturday).
