To help answer these crucial questions, Man Vs. Beast (LCB) put together a map that shows the animal-related death you’re most likely to suffer in each state. Needless to say, it’s fascinating.

Man Vs. Beast used data from the Centers for Disease Control to plot your odds of dying via animal on a map of America. They also figured out which animal is most likely to kill you in each state.

Bad news if you live in Montana: you’re more likely to be killed by an animal than residents of any other state in the nation. In contrast, Massachusetts residents have the least to fear from animals.

Your chances of dying from a venomous spider bite are pretty low – just 50 people in America met their end via spider in the past 16 years. How about snakes? Only 26 people have died from a venomous snake or lizard bites in the last 16 years.
