You Can Visit Dozens Of Museums Across The Country For Free Next Month – Here’s How

There’s nothing like a good museum to entertain and inspire you, especially on a rainy summer day. Next month, dozens of world-class museums across America will be free to visit and explore on one day only.

Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Magazine. On the event day, pre-registered people can gain access to participating museums for free. The date for 2018 is September 22.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

Museums that are part of the event include the Irving Arts Center in Irving, Texas; the Liberty Bell Museum in Allentown, Pa.; The New Orleans Jazz Museum in New Orleans, La.; and the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, Wis. Each ticket provides admission to two people. Tickets are available online now, so book yours today.
