X-Rays, Blood Samples, and 7 Other Creepy Things Left Behind At This Abandoned Mental Hospital

When a hospital closes down, we expect the shelves and closets to be emptied. However, it seems that some truly disturbing items were left behind at this mental hospital after the doors shut for the last time. Read on to learn more about the site, and check out the frightening images photographer Ken Fager captured at this abandoned spot.

This abandoned mental hospital may be empty of patients, but it’s filled with creepy reminders of the past.

Vials of patient blood are still sitting around in plain sight.

X-rays and other medical records are layered on the floors and shelves.

Mysterious vials of medications sit in baskets and bowls.

Even recorded medical notes and orders have been left behind.

Larger medical equipment like wheelchairs and patient beds have also been abandoned here.

The sight of children’s toys is particularly heartbreaking.

The decay gripping this hospital definitely lends a spooky air to otherwise normal sights.

The correct precautions were not taken in disposing of biohazardous material in this hospital.

It is unknown why all of this sensitive medical equipment and material has been left behind.

We can only wonder why these disturbing mementoes were not packed up and taken away.
