There's No Better Time To Visit The New England Coast For Whale Watching Than Right Now

Over the last week, more than a handful of whale sightings have been made in and around the Boston Harbor in Massachusetts. While wildlife spotting and scenic boat tours are available all throughout the Boston area, most locals and visitors alike aren’t quite used to seeing this many whales in one spot over such a short amount of time. While an explanation has yet to arise as to why so many whales are heading into the harbor, the U.S. Coast Guard of Boston is sending out alerts to all boat operators asking them to travel with caution for the time being.

Many of the reported sightings over the past week have been shared on social media, there was one that’s been a bit more spectacular than all the rest. Happening right in front of a boat operator with the Department of Conservation and Recreation, Shane Dwyer was able to capture up-close footage of a humpback whale breaching just off-shore.
